Xialu Xu (or Lulu) joined Accord in 2020 during the pandemic, when she gave her first performance as Mezzo Soprano and Alto in the choir’s online Christmas concert “Tis’ A Gift”. Growing up, she was trained as a classical pianist and performed at home and abroad with several children’s choirs, including Guangzhou Philharmonic Girl’s Chorus. She continued her to pursue her passion for choral music in college and founded her own choir that performed university-wide, including hosting its own open concert.  Lulu gained her Masters of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently a licensed architect in New York City. When she is not singing, she enjoys art, traveling and doing photography.
